Well we got a seat sale and our family of 5 was off to Mazatlan.(we left on Jan 21). When we first got there we started to relize very quick that this was going to be an expensive week. Everyone down there, people that had been there before said there prices were just stupid now, compared to a few years back. What they've done is since Sept 11, theres way less people coming, so instead of dropping their prices, they have raised them:silly: . We still had a great vacation, but it was just a bit pricey. Then to top it off, we all got sick from this taco place in the golden zone. That was 24hrs of hell.Other than that, the weather was hot and sunny for the most part, and it wasn't too bad after all. But i think I'm trying Hawaii next!

Shoot, I wanted to take the family to Cancun next year. Maybe things will settle down by then, and prices will return to normal. I was so looking forward to the kids experiencing Mexico. We'll see.

If you've never been, Hawaii in February is great. If my wife and I could ever figure out a way to make a living there, we would go. Plus on Kawaui, we found MX trails all over the place. MX, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, hiking, surfing...oh yeah I could handle it (especially as I freeze my nads off in this ice storm)
