I have an '02 125sx. My dad says i'm gettin on the big side for 125's (i'm 17, 6'1, 175lbs). Now my question is, what should my next bike be? I know it won't be a 125, but what about movin to a 250f? or 250 2-stroke? I tried a yz250 and it was a lot different, definitely would take some getting used to.
My dad has a 426 that i can ride (never ridden it, starting drill looks like it sucks) I've never ridden a 250f either. Suggestions?

four strokes have different power advantages than 125 or 250 two strokes, the yz250f'sand 426's and cr450f's have different power compared to a 250 or 125 two stroke with snappier power, i would g with a 2002-2003 yz250 i hear they're awsome, i wouldnt doubt that it will take some time getting used to the 250f or 426, its actually up to you and how you like that particular bike i never ridden a yzf or crf but i heard they are different

so if any of you were coming off a 125, and you had a choice, which would you pick? -
2003 yz250f
2002-2003 yz250

or i'd like to hear the opinions from anyone who has gone from a 125 to either of these bikes.

I'm still on a 125 but hear alot of discussions about this topic.
If you go with the 250f then you will still have to use the clutch and rev it high. The 250f is also in the same class as the 125 2 strokes so its not 'really' moving up. I'd say that at 6'1" 175, AND if you are a good rider on a 125, then go with the 250. I think KTM is coming out with a 250SX this year, pretty sure. But if you havent mastered skills yet, why move up, it will probably just be harder to master them.
