Whats the best muffler to buy the FMF burley pipe? I don't need to worry about a SA or noise. The pipe sure helps perf. will a aftermarket muffler do the same? Thanks

I run....

......an FMF Power Core and am happy with it.

Nice sound, bike runs crisp. (but I also fitted reeds, modified the pipe, rebuilt the engine and re-jetted at the same time so a combination of all has caused the result)

I am told that the fit and finish on the Pro Circuit pipes/silencers are even better.

Everyone should be concerned about noise. IMO I say leave the stock muffler on the bike. The gains you get from aftermarket mufflers are no comparison to adding a pipe in performance gains.

I agree with Mikeb about the noise issues. I am planning on replacing the Power Core II with the stock muffler for winter riding around the house as the race season is done. My question is will I have to rejet again buy going back to the stock muffler?
