i have a '90 kdx 200 that i need to sell. within the last year and a half, it has has a new tranny, renthal bars, renthal chain, renthal srockets, plastic, suspension. its in pretty good shape and i realy need to sell. problem is, leaks coolant. Im not sure whats happening, but sometimes i have coolant coming from the rear tank, and sometimes i see it coming from the top end,(just a little wetness around the head gasket. can the coolant leak into the bottom end somehow? i have a wiseco piston and rings that i got for $10 when i bought the bike, which i am going to put in the bike for the sake of selling it. only thing i need for that is circlips and gaskets, wheres the best place for them?. i am going to replace all wheel bearings also. i am going to try to sell for 1.3k, the bike looks great. should i put that piston and rings in? i think it would be worth my time. im aslo curious if people would buy it for 1.3k, it has been a great bike but i have to sell it. i dont rip anybody off, and i think this price is decent. and for the coolant, could i just be adding to much and having it boil out of my rear tank? how long would piston and rings take for the average mechanic to do? i know i just asked like 15 questions and i apreciate any help you can give me on this.
thnaks a lot

I replaced the top end on my KDX a few times and it took me a few hours. I usually take my time and clean everything thouroughly, and am seldom in a rush when doing maintenance. Use the repair manual if you have any questions, it takes you step-by-step. Its a simple process.
I just sold my '94 KDX which I bought brand new. It had all of the usual engine and suspension mods as well as the necessary trail protection. I sold it for $1500.00 and it was in perfect running condition. Graphics were a bit rough looking from years of cleaning with the pressure washer, but mechanically it was 100%. Hope this helps.

This isn't the best time of year to sell. I bought my 91 KDX for 1200.00 in may . But two weeks before that I sold a KX 125 1987 For 700.00 I put it out when a garge sale was going on in the neighborhood and had it out for only one hour ! If you can do your matinance in the winter you'll get a better price in the spring.

My 1992 KDX was leaking radiator fluid into the trans/engine. It was simple to fix. I ordered two seals for the water pump rod. Pulled the old ones out and replaced. hasn't leaked since.
