mx style rear fender 2005 kdx200

I know Maier makes a mx style for the kdx and costs about 50 bucks. I read somewhere that someone took a kx125/250 03-04 rear fender and it worked fine. Rocky Mountain has Acerbis rear fender for the kx125/250 03-04 for only $25. I can't remember if I read it on this site or not. It's been some days ago. I did a search here but couldn't find it. Could anyone shed any light on this? Has anyone tried the 03-04 kx fender on a late model kdx?

it snot even close.. you might be able to make it fit, but why not just buy the bolt on model?
