I am about to buy a bike which is local to me im v short on money and the guy selling this bike says it needs new bearings front and back along with a new chain can u guys give me a rough idea of how much this would cost in £££ pounds :) its a cr250 94 mdl.

Well, the wheel bearings are pretty cheap. The chain can be expensive depending on what type you get. You could get a cheapo chain for maybe $20 US(cost of maybe 5 value meals at mcdonalds). You should do a search on a search engine for an online dirtbike store, they got everything, and usually cheaper than at a bike shop.

You should also check for wear on the steering stem bearings and the swingarm bearings. They can be costly to replace. The wheel bearings are cheap. You can take one down the local bearing shop and have them matched and they should be less than the stock parts.

Add in the cost of the sprockets as well, they need to go with the chain. You can get some fairly inexpensive ones as well.
