Newer YZ's, California, Red stickers

Since California has made 2003 and newer YZ's red stickered, I was woundering if I bought a used newer YZ450 from a different state and brought it back to California, would it be automaticly red stickered

do this if it has a 3 or a C in the 8th letter in the vin # on the bike and 2002 and above its probably red sticker
