I've purchased an OCEMN needle and 168 main jet, before I install these into my MXC400 has anyone already done this and what are the results. I read the other thread concerning the 520's but what to know about the 400's.
The 400 doesnt seem to respond as well to the needle as the 520 does. I have fiddled with my 400 and it seems that if you get the low end better, the top end may suffer, and vice versa. Everyone has a different opinion on what works best. Some guys say the 172 main works better yet others say the 165 is the way to go. Good Luck!
Thanks for the input. The power is good as is, I just wanted a little more snap off the bottom. Maybe I'll put a 13 tooth countershaft sprocket on the front and see how that feels before changing the needle. I hardly use 6st gear anyway.
I use the EMN needle in the middle with a 170 main, stock pilot and one out on the air/fuel screw. This gives me a bit more down low and into the midrange. Not a lot of difference but enough to make it easier to lift the front wheel in 3rd to wheely over things. I'd recommend giving it a try.
