Jeff, it's about 30 minutes from the 91/15 interchange.

It should be Saturday I believe.

Hey, what's the scoop? Is it still on? We've never been there B4.

I'd like to get there mid morning (10-ish) and do a loop; spend the night camping; maybe eat at http://www.camachosplace.com/. Anyone else camping overnight? It's too long of a drive from OC for me to do it in one day.

I'm planning on being there just for the day. I'll be there around 7:00am. My neighbor and his son are also going. He has a cr450f and his son has a yzf426.

I'm thinking we should have a decent size group. Who's all still in?

Tee and I are still coming down.

Are we still all going to meet at the place that Elk suggested or should we meet at the ranger station and then caravan out to the riding spot?

I'm not going to make it.

Just got back. My NoCal friends came down a little early and we did Ocotillo, Galamis and Elsinore. I'm beat. :scream: Gotta go take a nap.

FYI. Ocotillo was pretty crowded. Especially around the main entrance.

You guys have fun. :thumb:

I find it best to catch a few zzz's on the trail in the form of a DIRT NAP

I'm still in. Let me know what time you want to meet and where. Looks like I'll have to get up and out by 4AM if Elk wants to get out there by 6 or 7. :ugg:

Well since Elk seems to be missing in action lets plan on meeting at the restrooms near the Ranger Station at 7 and then we can decide where we want to park and ride from.

Sorry, I'm back, issues you know.:( Meeting at 7 is fine or do we want to meet at the cross roads before we get there. If we meet at 7, are we talking about the ranger station just as you enter the town on the left? That's cool or I'd like to ride the south side and meet at the old closed gas station at split mountain road. Myself and Jr are coming and we'll probably leave around 1, give or take. I'll check in here during the week to see where the meet place is.

Got it, 0700, Ranger station left side as you enter OW. I'll be in the black S10, two zukis in the back. Give the guys some time in case anyone gets delayed a few minutes. If by chance someone gets there late, go to the old gas station on the right, past the ranger station and make a right. Go about 7 miles down that road, I think it's split mountain road until you hit the railroad tracks. Hang a left on the road prior to the tracks. Go about a mile down the dirt road, look to the left and we should be parking off the road a bit. See you guys there!

My cell number is 714-240-3753 but it's terrible service out there.

Roll call!!

Hi Tree,
I tried to PM ya, but your mailbox is full.

I don't know how you're situated for the trip out on Saturday with 3 of you going, but I can carry one more in my Dodge if needed. Let me know and I could swing by and pick one up, otherwise I'll just meet out at the Ranger Station.

See Ya,
Tee

Tee-My neighbor is taking his truck and I was planning on driving out in another truck but if you want to meet at my house we could throw my bike in your truck or throw your bike in mine and drive together that way we could split the gas money.

I cleared out my PM box so let me know. I figure we should leave my house by 5:30am.

Here's a trail map for Ocotillo -

http://www.desertusa.com/ovr/du_trailmap.html

I doubt if I can make it - it's a long way, but if I manage to go late, maybe someone can identify the staging area from the map. The Ranger station is at the far left, about 3/4's down.

HEHEHEHEHEHE I gotta remember that one for Dirt Week 03. I feel some appropriate custom stickers and signs should be made. :) :)

TTR hopefully you'll pratice up for the MX C class. Does the new ride have lights for the Bikes with lights class?

Desert Racer hope you make it to Cooperland. In Oklahoma, they let us ride on Grass and everything!!! :yeehaw: Not just rocks, dirt and sand :uh:

I'm in for Sat. See you Friday Rex and thanks for in lodging. FYI It was really cool of Angie to get up at 4AM and make breakfast :worship: Just Kidding.

OK, based on that map I'm an illegal alien! I'll stick with the group and ride where you guys want. We'll meet at the ranger station and go from there. My kid stayed down on Pole line road last time and said it was great riding, and legal. If you go down 78 then make a right on pole line road, drive about a mile and there's a place to park. We could try that or if anyone else has a place, I'm open. Either way, we'll meet at the station and go from there. Hole, if you leave us your cell number, we can call you with the staging area when we find it, K? Cya there
