two questions
1. can i use the same oil in engine and tranny on my 04 crf250r or is it better to use like gear saver in tranny? any recommend oils?
2. ready filters? are they good quality?

I'd say you can and a lot do run a good quality diesel rated oil like Rotella or Delo in both engine and tranny side. Or you can use a higher moly content on engine side....any brand and I believe Honda makes both with moly and without just for that reason....and a specialty gear oil or ATF on trans side....... everyone will have their opinion on which is better. Just change whatever you use often. I think using Rotella or Delo is a good way to go since it is a very good oil and inexpensive. Name your poison.......I only ride 2 strokes off road so I just use the factory recommended oil in trans any 10W40. In my street bikes I'm partial to Castrol and Mobil 1. Never had an issue using car oils. No experience with the filters you mentioned.

I wouldn't trust the longevity of a pre-oiled filter. I also won't clean them.
I like to use a better filter and keep the pre's on hand, just in case.
A poor choice of air filtration equipment/maintenance can net you worse results than a somewhat lacking oil regimen.

I second Jay's feelings that the ready filters we have in the trailer are just for an emergency situation where we need a filter now and do not have any clean.
They are flimsy foam to me and no way I would ever trust cleaning and re-oiling one.

Just a hunch and the OP can clear this up but since the filter question is lumped with an oil question he may be asking about the Compflo stainless steel reusable oil filter being sold by Ready Filter.

I always think filters in an oily bag when I hear "ready filters".

Yep you got me there also since I always think air passage when I hear Ready filter even though we ran the Ready Compflo stainless oil filter for 2 seasons in Spiders bikes.

If that is what you are referring to then my answer is- We ran them in 2 different YZ250Fs and never seemed to have a problem with either one. I stopped using them both after 2 seasons when one of them lost the rubber gasket during an oil change. I gave the second one away recently to a friend who is using it now.
Quality wise? I guess they seemed to be made as well as any other stainless filter I have ever seen (wouldn't be surprised if they all came off the same assembly line) and I have never heard of any others loosing the gasket.

Dave, did the gasket come off as you were taking it out?

Jay yes it looked like the glue holding it in place dissolved- that is why I stopped using the second one. It would not have caused a problem had it come loose in the bike as it fit tight between the cover and the back of the cup it sat in.
I may have caused the failure as I always sprayed the element with Brake cleaner and then blew it dry to remove any sediment when I serviced the bike.

soz, should have made it more clear but i was talkin bout the AIR filter, but now that u mention i would like to know bout reusable oil filters if u could help me?
