Overheating issue??

'05 DRZ 400S

Basically ran great 2 weeks ago. Tried to ride it last Wed and had a HELL of a time getting it started and when I did it wouldn't stay running. Figured it was bad fuel, drained it out and put in good fuel. Now it'll start fine (when it's cold) and stay running until it gets hot (found that out on my way to work), then it shuts down and won't restart until it's cool. Had it in the parking lot at work and would start it, run it for a few minutes, manually shut it down then go to restart and it wouldn't start.

Any suggestions?

i think these bikes have thermostats, check to make sure its working. Also, have you made sure your valves are adjusted properly, you could be running lean which will make it hot.
