Plans for 2003

I went to a DNR meeting this past week and learned some details about 2003. First of all, the National Forest Service is working on the Holton/Horseshoe trail system on the west side of the state. This trail should be rerouted and open again in 2003.

Second, for those interested in the enduros in Michigan, we will have two National enduros in 2003. On July 20th a National enduro will be held in Marquete - Congratulations Magoo!!!
On August 10th, a National enduro will be held in Harrison. You can ask Michman and WalkmanII, this is a great enduro.
Two chances to see the National expert riders compete!!

The Jack Pine and Pine Cone will be held on the weekend following the National in Harrison (August 16 and 17). We had a big crowd of DRNers at Moorestown last year and we are hoping for more this year.

Does anybody know when the CCC establishes their calendar? I was thinking we should see if we can get a Michigan Trail Riders calendar in this forum to plan to weekend rides.

There may be more enduros in Michigan. The schedule will be finalized in early December. More info to follow....

The Stumpjumper MC may also put on an enduro this year, but no confirmation yet. The first weekend in December is the sanctioning meeting for the District. We will know more at that time.
