rickys days are already numbered in supercross, I think Bubba will be the only one who will have a chance beating Mc's record, it sure would hurt rickys confedence if reed one the rest of the supercross's. One of the things I do admire about ricky is that he is one of the few riders left that believes in riding clean.

Guys, thsi is going to sound bad. Before I post, please understand I like the sport. I allready have my row 17 tickets to Salt Lake City's event.

Is this a contest anymore or a big parade lap? The only guys with much of a shot at winning the race is RC and Reed.

I agree that with so many of the other good riders missing that there is sort of a gap in talent from third back. Thats were Travis Pastrana, Mike Larocco, David Vuillimen, Tim Ferry and other such riders would fill in the gap. Now you have 125 west riders and a few privateer 250 guys taking those spots. The gap from 2 to 3 on the track has gotten a lot bigger because of this so it seems like a parade lap. But who cares CHAD WON!!!! hahahaha :)

Injuries have killed the sport this year.  I noticed the same thing at Indy when we were there.  The speed of Reed and RC is so much higher than anyone else on the track that even falls or bad starts won't stop them from finishing 1 and 2.  Unfortunately for Reed that means RC will win the title this year.

There are 3 rounds left and if Reed were to win every one and RC got 2nd he would only make up 9 points.  Reeds only chance is if Travis comes back for Salt Lake and finishes 2nd between him and RC.  Travis didn't have that kind of speed earlier and I doubt he will now.  Travis has not shown he can keep it on two wheels at the pace Reed and RC are setting.

If Reed were to win out it would definately give RC some time to think and lose some of that edge he has had.   Maybe outdoors will be a little better,  yeah right.

After watching Chad Reed last night, I'm glad Mcgrath retired. Not that I don't like MC, but Reed is just too smooth and too fast.

And this was no "spoiler" Reed dominated start to finish.

RC suffered from a bad start and pushed way too hard with numberous bobbles until he settled down for the last 2/3 of the race.

Too bad there was nobody to test either rider.

just my two cents.

All that i have to say is GO REED!!! He is my new favorite rider. I chose him at the beginning of the year as my favorite thinking that he would finish 3rd and 4th, but instead, he came out his rookie year and beat(according to the Honda commercial) the perfect rider!!! How cool is this guy? Go REED!!

The bandwagon cometh...with vigilance.

RC will retain the SX title, and dominate outdoors again.

I've been a reed fan since the 125 races last year. What I really want is a healthy field with rc ,cr , pastrana, bubba, ferry , ramsey , cobra mixing it up for 20 laps with multiple winners

Forgot too mention K-DUB!! Bubba is in 125, Pastrana will break something, Ferry is sick and THe Cobra has some broken vertebrae.. BUt hopefully we will see RC, Reed, K-Dub THe ROck and all the rest freight training around the track!! :thumb:

hmm, seems last night "two" fellow yamaha riders (lapped riders) weren't really letting RC by no matter how many laps the flagman waved at them.. i must say RC just couldn't catch reed and looked as if in many of the turns and berms he was getting ALOT of wheelspin and not much traction. Plus reed only made one small mistake in the whoops... it was good to see the Michigan Mafia boys (k. smith & n. wey) riding good.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for the 20 lap battle between RC and CR. I love watching those guys, they have so much respect for each other. Last week was great too, they were really going at it. They ride hard, and make good passes, but ride clean at the same time. RC needs to pull it together a little, I think Reed has made him a little nervous. He will still dominate outdoor!

Watching the 125s is really getting annoying, its guys like Mike Brown that are starting to bug me. This guy doesn't care who he takes out on his way up front. I understand rubb'n racing, but this guy is extreme. I think he's making a lot of enemies, if has to come through the pack in some race, they'll get him!

One funny thing today, I was watching the SX for this week with my buddies this afternoon, and my one buddy is new to watching the sport. When RC fell in the main, he asked where I thought RC would finish. I said 2nd, maybe first. He couldn't beleive that, he thought I was out of my mind. When RC made up 10 spots in 3 laps, he was starting to see it, and sure enough, he got a second! Wish I could have gotten a bet on that one, he was thunderstruck!

All right Chad! Way to go.

Just to stir things up a bit - I'd have to say that a lot of you at the start of the SX season, really didn't think Chad would be able to cut it racing with the big boys. I knew he could hold his own out there, and have been a proud supporter. I didn't expect him to win the #1 plate this season, but I knew he could place in the top 3 in his first season on the 250's. I know it's not over yet, but unless RC DNF's, Chad has 2nd place secured.

What amazes me is that many of you still doubt his ability to run with Ricky during the upcoming outdoor season. I don't think Chad will disappoint in the outdoors. I hope to see similar close competition.

I remember last year's outdoors, Reed got his head handed to him by another rookie. Maybe his newfound confidence will follow him outdoors. (but I don't think so, RC will win unless he gets hurt). Maybe it will be more interesting. Congrats to Ivan Tedesco, I don't think it will be his last!! :yeehaw:

I'm not a real big fan of RC or CR but watching RC ride motocross last year was amazing, I have never seen a rider go that fast on an out door track, his corner spead is amazing.

If Chad were to win out the last races, can he beat Ricky for the championship?

I suppose this assumes RC finishes second from here out. If not, I hope RC clinches his title here in Salt Lake again.
