I was wondering if anybody can give me any (how-to) or (where-to) get information on disconnecting the oil pump on a yamaha pw50? I would just rather use premix so I don't have to worry about the oil pump going bad and messing up the motor. And what ratio would you mix it? Thanks :bang:

Pw 50

As far as I know, most of were just capped off at the inlet and the outlet of the pump. Also capping it at the carb also. Physically taking them off would require a block off plate, which I have not seen from any one. As for a ratio I would think 32:1 or 40:1 especially on a air-cooled engine.

the best way to do it is remove the pump, then remove the drive gear. then reinstall the pump. this way the pump is not draggin on the motor anymore. then remove the tube from teh side of the carb and cap it off.
