Ok, here's the first taker

maybe if Pichon races, and cobra get up to speed then ricky can race around for 4th place, but only if him and travis dont crash on another!

He had his shot on a Honda in SX and his speed was about as fast as Lusk was back then. I believe the pace has picked up just a bit since then. :moon: He was not a factor then nor will he be now.

I'd like to see it. It'd be interesting to see if Pichon could hang with Carmichael. I have a feeling that Pichon might be one of only a few guys that wouldn't be afraid to knock RC over in a corner. Wouldn't that be interesting if somebody was actually able (and willing) to stuff the Leprechaun? :scream:

Nope, I don't either!

indoors.. not even close
outdoors.. not even close

it's funny how they always go overseas and then start thinking they are so much faster than they were.

Regardless, I'd like to see somebody stuff the redhead over a berm, JUST to see how he takes it. :p

Pichon isn't picky. he'll knock anyone over, including race officials, parking lot attendants, etc.

Didn't the US classify him as an 'Undesirable'? :p

reed didn't beat RC, RC beat himself. at the end of the AMA races he will have reed looking like a chump

Iseemed to remember reed kept with-in his wheel tracks at the us open.Seems to me like reed has every bit of the speed of rc-and wasnt the fastest lap of the whole evening done by reed-says to me reed isnt some chump who will just go away.

I don't think anyone believes Reed is a chump, no doubt he's fast. But let's see. Stewart SPANKED Reed last year on a regular basis. Now, it appears that Reed CAN (*will* on a consistant basis is still up for debate) run with RC... hummm. I guess we can blame it on Stewart's superior Kawi?

Refernce Reed winning Round 1? Preston beat Stewart, do you really think that means anything? 1 race?

It's going to be a good season boys :)

I'd have to agree. I think RC rules this class and barring injury he will dominate indoors and outdoors. His competition will be tougher this year but I think he will come out on top

Yes, RC probably will be champ, but comparing Reeds rides last season to this season isn't saying much. Reed was on an underpowered bike!! He's much more mature than Stewart is so naturally he can handle being on a 250 better than Bubba could. I look to Reed really giving RC a run! It won't come easy!

I have said it before but i will again-reed was riding a class he has never ridden on completely new circuit in a new country-he won nearly every indoor race(something he hasnt rode hardly at all) and would have done better in the outdoors with more luck-no one can say sterwart wasnt luckly last seaon with all his crashes.

Im telling you you havnt seen the real reed yet-look how far reed was in front of DV/Tort/Ferry-doesnt that say something of his talent. The only thing is more weird is people doubt how fast MP is and he was the one that spanked Reed in the 250GP.

Underpowered? The 250F was underpowered? Humm... Okay? I'm sure Reed would have done better if he would have been on a 450 :p

Sure, Reed is more mature, older and came to the states being a 250 rider with a lot of pro racing experience. No doubt, the guy is fast.

Just watched the first round... talk about a crazy 250 main! Carnage. Did anyone notice Roncada taking shots at RC? LOL. The RC Pastrana thing? Just racing. One thing for sure, if you run with RC, plastic will rub. The Rock and Pastrana thing? Ouch! I really hope Travis doesn't have to miss any races, he's got the speed.

I wouldn't be so fast to name RC champ ...

Heck yeah underpowered!! Compared to his skill level!! Reed can do SO MUCH MORE with his 250 than he could with that 250f. That's the excuse he used several times last year too. "I wanted to ride the 250 class this season, because that's what I've always ridden. But there wasn't a bike available..." blah, blah, blah. I believe him! He was always behind himself on the 250f. But on the YZ250, he's WAY ahead of the bike!! It's awesome!

If Reed was "too good" for the 125 class then what about Stewart, who spanked him indoors AND outdoors? Was his bike not underpowered too, then?

No, imo I think Stewart was perfectly matched with his bike. Notice how many times he crashed! Imagine how bad it would have looked if he had MORE power on tap! He was already doing things on his 125 that many 250 riders wouldn't do. The 250 riders were studying Stewart BECAUSE of this! Back into this OLD debate, Stewart would kill himself on a 250. It's that simple.

I do believe that Stewart could be the FASTEST on the track no doubt. But, he's got to mature a little first. We'll see him break all of RC's records in 3-5 years, if he's not broken.
