replacing the stock reeds on my 2000 200 and i was wondering about the plastic block that is there. looks like i can just not put it back and the flow will improve or is it there for a purpose? also the metal tabs on the stock setup, the boysen reeds have a smaller metal plate to hold them in, do i need the stockers? thanks

Leaving out the phenolic block won't help anything. It smooths the flow to the reeds. 1. Leave it there, and 2. Make sure it goes back in the correct orientation. It will fit either way, but one way is wrong.

Looking into the carb boot on the cylinder you will easily see if it's wrong 'cuz there will be a large flat spot of block looking back at you.

The smaller metal plate on the boyesens replaces the oem reed stop (what I presume you are referring to when you say 'metal tabs'). Leave those duckbill looking things off.
