STARTED MY 00 KX-250 YESTERDAY AND IT REVED TO THE MOON ON CHOKE. I KILLED IT ASAP . IT WAS'NT AS BAD THE SECOND THE SECOND TRY, BUT STILL REVS TO HIGH ON CHOKE????TIM

I don't know why it does that, but I do know that if you hold the choke halfway with your fingers for 10-20 seconds, and then pull it all the way up, the engine will rev ok. (at least it works on my motorcycle)

Sounds like your bike may be jetted lean down low and the extra fuel is what caused it to rev up. The choke should only be on for a second or two after it fires up.
