Hey all. I've been riding street and track bikes for the last 10 years, and am looking to get a little dirty. Looks like a great place for information!! I'm from Houma, La and although we don't really have that many places to go offroad, I make alot of trips with my R1200GS and get to explore fireroads and double track from time to time. I'm thinking about getting something a bit more suitable for off the beaten trail and plan to lurk around here and absorb a bit of expertise.

Welcome to da' site...go to Cycle World of Houma and pick something out. Ask for James when you walk in...he'll hook you up.

You are correct about not many places around to ride off-road. Quite a few tracks within an hours drive(if you like that sort of thing). We drive to the Alexandria area to do our off-roading in the Kisatchie National forest.

See ya' around,

Matt

Welcome to the site

Be sure and go to your User CP and update information relating to your location, type of riding, etc. After that grab a spot on the couch and tell us a bit about yourself. How long you have been riding, what kind of riding you prefer, where you are located, etc.

Now get on down there like Matt said and get you a bike. We are gonna get a Cajun/Tejas ride set up after the new year!

Again, welcome to the site and shout if you have any questions!

Thanks for the welcome! As far as the User CP.....done

I posted in the "which bike" forum a bit about what I'm looking for and a bit of my riding background. Looks like new guys can't post links so it's titled "Big A$$ newbe". I'm sure I've met up with a few people here from "down the bayou" so good to see ya if so!
