sandproofing airbox

lately, I've been riding alot of sand, and when I took my airfilter off, I passed a finger through the air boot to see if sand had been passing through. There seems to be alot of sand sticking to the bottom of my air boot (pretty gritty when I pass my finger)(I put grease on the bottom of the air boot to try and catch sand if it goes in). I know the filter is not the problem, It's a brand new unifilter(only one ride on it). Basicly, I'm just looking for tips on making my airbox as sand proof as possible.
