Hey Guys and Girls.

I have a yamaha DT200 1995 model motorbike. I would like to set up the front Forks and the rear Shocks for trail bike riding and track riding.

Iam just about to join up at a motorbike track/club and i knew my shocks are way to soft for jumping (They bottom out like no tomorrow). The rear shock is stiff as possible and the front is not to bad but could be more stiffer.

I will be doing 50 to 55% of trail riding and the other percent track work.

Iam a farely big kid weighing at 100 killos. I dont want to spend big dollars on doing this. I also push the bike quiet hard getting it ususally to 9000rpm's.

What is needed to be done?
What type of bike shop should i give it to?
What will be changed on the bike?
How much will it cost.
What oil or spring will you choose for a person like me and for my riding style?.

Thanks Guys

I'm not sure what a dt200 is. The model name riminds me of a trail bike. If so, then the suspension is set up way to soft for mx, especially at around 220 pounds. That is rather heavy for a pro setup mx bike. To make this short, it wont be cheap with this bike.

Fare enough.

I dont think i will go any harder, i may get the spring retentioned what do you think?
I have changed the front shock oil to a heavier weight so its more stiffer.

This should help with stiffness.
