Funny...Thats what I say about my 89! ;-)

You gotta get a pipe (or do the pipe mod) and some kx suspenders
on that bad boy. You'd be amazed at the difference...

Yeah, I've thought about the mods, but just have not gotten around to doing them. For the trail riding I do, she handles pretty much everything I through at her...

KX front suspension. Here's a pic of my front end. Its a set of 1996 KX 125 forks with 98 KX 250 clamps (rubber bar mounts), 1995 KDX 200 brake caliper and a custom axle to allow the use of
my 89 KDX 200 front wheel and spacers.

Very Nice green. How do you like your CEK? Did it make your bike faster?

I have never really had a probelm with arm pump, but the new height of the bars has made all the difference in the world. My old bars were a low bend, the new ones are Moose oversize mini bars, a little more height than CR-HI but they are already cut to 29.5in, I also have bar adapters that add another 1/2in.

I used to be a 75% sit down rider, and used to feel uncomfortable standing, now I am a 75% standing rider and feel really comfortable standing. I can't believe I rode with those bars for so long. Overall I am less fatigued all over since I can stand whenever I need to and not take the beating, so my forearms and hands always feel good, not sore or tired.

Do you find yourself kind of hunched over and putting a lot of weight on the bars when standing?

Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Maybe start another thread so that we stop thread jacking.
