I am not a total metal head...

Well, that's pretty obvious...just from your choice of band! :p :p

Real friends don't let friends listen to Skid Row! ;)

"His collar starched white

I figured you were much older than me, but I seem to have been mistaken. Shocked also. Fantastic album. I am a huge Queensryche fan also. They were unbelievable in concert.

Just funnin' with ya, Ivan! ;)

Skid Row was better than some of the 80's hair metal bands...

I never bought "Slave", but I had the self-titled first release. I heard "I Remember You" a couple of weeks ago, and was instantly transported to a happier, hairier time. "Skidrow" was the first CD I ever bought (in1988).

At least I never drank Zima. :debil:

I certianly hope that you do not have slaughter CD. Without a dought the worst girlie hair band of the hair band era. Followed closely by winger (dude had some big teeth). I never realy heard much of these bands other than what was on the radio or I saw on MTV. I think it was the Videos that turned me off the most. I think off all the hair bands mentioned I would rate Skid Row the best, but I still don't own one of there CD. :o Just never realy appealed that much to me. I listen to a pretty wide range of music now, but back then it was Heavy Metal or nothing :aj: Most of what I listened to back then wasn't even played on the radio unless it was late at night or on Z rock (before they went down hill). They actually used to play slayer every now and then.

Like Ivan said..."I also had a Winger cd, a Warrant cd and quite a few others I know I should be emberassed to admit to "

Let's see, there was also Poison, White Lion, Steelheart, Cinderella, LA Guns, Cats in Boots, Great White, Ratt, uh...um...oh yeah! Dangerous Toys, Love/Hate, etc. etc. :debil:

Does that pretty much describe your record collection, Ivan?

Skid Row was definitely cool. I think Sebastion Bach had one of the best rock voices of all time. Here's an idea....what about Sebastian Bach as Van Halen's new lead singer? I know Bach is doing Broadway musicals now, so the VH gig must be better than that. Maybe he can help inject a little energy into my favorite band (although it seems like they've been sitting around doing nothing since that horrible last album).

NOT!
"Round and Round" was the only single that I cared for. Uh, I actually bought it on 45 :o because I didn't want to waste my money on the rest of the album.

At that point in my life, my favorite band was Iron Maiden, and everything else just paled in comparison.

I'll also admit that I haven't heard Pink yet. But then, I live in the middle of BFE, and we don't get real radio out here! Don't think I'm missing much.

What's a 45 Lori? :p Just razzing you, I'm 36 years old, so I know what a 45 is. Here's some for ya:
Queensryche
Ratt
Motley Crue
Bonjovi
Ozzy
Black N Blue
Scorpions
Vandenberg
Helix
Kixx
Autograph
Quiet Riot
Girl School
Zebra
Bullet Boys
Dokken
Kiss
Krokus
Skid Row
Tesla
Whitesnake
Vixen
AC/DC
And many more...
But my absolute all time favorite, if I could have any band play for me, would be..........Y&T.

I'll bet there aren't 4 people on this whole site that have ever heard of Y&T, and not 1 that can name 4 of their songs.:think

I think the Skid's third album is the best. I would prefer that Bach bet back together with Skid Row rather than Van Halen....he is better than that band of losers. I think the girly screamer rock voice is pretty much gone too...probably why he's on broadway.

Easy one. Y&T stands for "Yesterday and Today". I think just on this thread we found 4 people who know Y&T, eh LARider20??!

Nice list. Krokus was one of my favorite bands too. AC/DC clone all the way, but they rocked. Scorpions are awesome too, but they were around way before some of these other posers were out of kindergarten. Who can forget such songs as "Lovedrive" and "The Zoo" ??!

Anybody remember Lidia Taylor. She was a one hit wonder with "Bitch". The song leads in with an old alarm clock going off....then you hear a crash as the clock takes a beating....then you hear a beer bottle jingling across a concrete floor. Opening line "wake up in the morning and I feel like a son of a bitch...".

I had my truck stolen Wednesday night.....kinda felt like that Thursday morning. Wanted to beat some scum bag in the worst way.....let them get well....and do it again...

What can I say...I'm German/Norweigan.....a little vendictive.....:moon:
