While in Italy a couple of years ago my wife saw the Smart and fell in love with it. They were everywhere there. I checked into getting one but at the time they weren't approved for sale in the states yet. Once they added all the emission control crap and basically cut the gas mileage in half I was less enamored by them. My wife still wants one though. They have a lot of safety features that come standard so I'm not concerned about it.
