Sound Test at Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan

During the late spring early summer of next year I am taking my 2000 YZ 250 to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes to ride, I want to know if anyone is getting the 2-stokes to pass the sound test? FMF claims their Power Core Q silencer will get one down to 93 db, which is under, the 94 db in Michigan, but even they said it will vary with the weather etc. What are my chances of passing and how strict are the tests at Silver Lake?

I've never ridden at Silver Lake, but I've been sound checked at the Mounds (near Flint). My bike is a '96 RM250 with an FMF Turbine Core II spark arrestor. Long story short - it passed with no problem. I don't know if they are more strict at the dunes, but the only bikes I saw turned away because of sound checks were the thumpers.

That is good to hear. It is a long drive, but for me being able to play in the dunes is worth it.
