Spokane Scarescrambles

Anyone going to the Scarescramble on October 28th in Spokane? I'll be there, along with a large contingent of Canadians from the West Kootenays.

I'm on a yellow GasGas EC200 with #26 on the plates.

SpeedyM - hi. I just moved to WA from So Cal in September and am getting into the swing of things this month. I was planning on riding the Cowbell ISDE at Walker Valley on the 28th, but I had not heard about this scrambles. Who is hosting the race ? Thanks !

The race is at Extreme Motorsports park just outside Spokane, WA. The cowbell is a lot closer to you in Seattle. For more info on the Scarescramble visit www.extmotorsports.com.

FYI the course is very fast (3rd gear and up) - not ideal GasGas territory but the race is pretty close for me (2 hour drive) as opposed to 8+ hours for the Cowbell.

believe me, I've ridden it quite slowly.

And you gotta watch the rocks. Some of 'em are anchored to the center of the earth. And there are a couple spots where they wind the trail through some loose 6"+ river rock. It's best to stay on the trail. Just ask my brother. He'd tell you, if he could remember, that is.

a heated city council campaign, deer and elk season, and a bike that needs an oil change and valve adjustment, for starters.

That, and I've retired (again) from racing

Bummer. I'm looking forward to it. Not sure which class I'll be racing yet.

did anyone end up going to this race? I missed out I was out at the ORV park. But would like to see somepics of the event

There's a link to pictures on the Extreme Motorsports website (www.extmotorsports.com). Fun race, extremely dusty though. I ended up 7th in Pro Ironman.

Sorry Speedy, didn't see this thread until now! I didn't go, I've actually never been to a race! If I ever do probably be the Desert 100.

I'll be at the Desert 100 in April, and the spring mud fling harescrambles in Spokane in March. There's a bunch of us from the Kootenays that come down to Washington for a few races a year.

I'm also looking at the Idaho City 100 in June, but it depends on finances.
