One of my sons is building (With his own Burger King Paychecks!) a 1995 Honda CR125 to race Hare Scrambles with. The rear suspension seems about right but the front is over sprung and under damped. We don't know if what is in there is stock or not as he go this machine used.

Whats a good starting point with a spring rate and where can I buy those springs. The kid is around 165 lbs and has close to expert class or "A" riding ability.

We purchased a set of Race Tech brand .38kg/mm springs to start with and Honda HP 5wt oil.

Whats a good starting point for the amount of oil per leg?

Also is there any way to cut the mid stroke harshness while we are inside those forks?

I would guess at 100mm from the top but i havnt done a set of 95 forks so check on www.racetech.com and i think they list the airgap. As for midstoke harshness, it could be a number of things, without knowing what is done to the fork its hard to diagnose.
