Yay! I got that Friday, March 4th off so I can finally go out to Coleman's farm. If I don't have my horse by then do you have any horses that need to be ridden? :)
If I do have my horse by then and I can find a way to borrow a trailer, would you mind if I brought my horse out there to ride?
Are you anywhere near New Haven? That is where my horse is.

You still have tie downs for your KTM? Put the bridle in that baby's mouth and hook 'em up. Your horse should fit in the rear of Edwardo's truck. Face the tail towards the rear, open the split window and feed that sucker sugar cubes as Eddie drives to the track ... wait, uh, I mean farm. :rotfl:

Beware of vapor lock after the ride in the truck!

There's horses to ride, just not sure of how they'd act around the bikes. As they sit now, they don't do anything when we ride by on our bikes but that's without anybody on the horse. The farm is about 10 miles or so from downtown washington on the St. Charles side. So its not real close to New Haven. If you don't bring your horse, bring some spurs and we'll get you on one of those hayburners. I know the brown ones are good to ride but I do remember one of them being a left turn only horse, just not sure which one, they look the same.

For those needing directions, I looked up on mappoint and it does show directions if you use
995 Forest Cove DR, Defiance, MO 63341. I'll be out there all day friday and friday night so come whenever. If I can get a rough idea of who and when, I'll get some lunch or dinner grub going or just grab something out there or on the way. I have bbq pits, kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, etc out there. Even hot showers. No primitive riding here.

For most of the St.Louis crew the directions are pretty simple, 40 west over the daniel boone bridge into St. Charles county, take 1st exit (hwy 94) and go left. Follow to highway d (3 way stop light) take a right there and you'll be going into Busch Wildlife Area, go about 7-8 miles on D. Then you come to a gas station/convenience store 4 way stop. Take a left there, its highway DD. Go about 1 mile and left on Forest Manor Dr. (This is newer subdivision that is in front of our farm, called Forest Lake Estates) . Go to Forest Cove and at the end of the cul-de-sac you'll go onto a gravel road. Your'e on the farm then. Follow the gravel drive past my brother's house, past the barn and then look for some signs. Depending on how wet it is, you'll either stay on the gravel drive or go into the field. Look for the white mobile home. That's my country hideout.
Anyone coming from out of town without a bike or gear, we have extras in some sizes. We also have a 20 and 10 acre lake, good for fishing. C'mon out.
Bob

Spurs?! No way man, I don't do spurs. But I'll wear my riding boots and pants.
Come on now Ms. Ed I know you got spurs, I seen the marks on Edwardo. BTW don't you think you will look silly wearing that Sahara riding pants and GWB's on a horse?

LOL, after hearing Eddie go on and on about Jay's GIANT frying pan, I went out and bought him the biggest frying pan I could find, and I got "it's still not as big as Jay's" :fft:
Damn thing doesn't even fit in our cubbord!

Silly Patman, it's too cold for the Sahara riding pants. ;)

Aimee,
their is a tool store down on gravois and 141, near gravois bluffs. THEY have the cast iron skillet there. i think it's a 30 inch. We use one for the boy scout troop. Talk about a blast! they can't get me away from cooking! we'll scramble about four dozen eggs, AND put the sausage in it! top it off with hash browns, and some cheese, cut up some bell peppers, and you got what's called, "garbage" for breakfast. we usually argue over who gets to take the leftovers home!

Rick,

Not sure about your plans but as far as I know the plans are for Colemans Friday, BBQ at our place Sat. I've not heard of anything different. We'll be starting the Q early to get food for folks wanting to see practice (if they let us know they are coming - which most haven't) and we'll continue cooking for those that want to head down later.

Just got back from the farm this morning. This is a great time of year to ride. I'd cancel the rest of the week and go back for more riding if I wasn't going skiing next week. I plan on being out there in the morning friday, like 8am, before the horses show up. Let me know if that's too late.
Thanks,
Bob
