Suspension adjustment for '03 JR80 - Is ther any?

My brother bought a jr80 for my nephew. He is only about 60 pounds soaking wet and the suspension seems very stiff for the trails we ride. We adjusted the rear spring with the little racheting screw but this didn't help much. Is there anything else that can be done? Do they make aftrmarket springs for these bikes? I looked but didn't find anything. Also can anything be done to soften the front forks?
