Tried the Mini and Pit bike forum to no avail. Short of waiting 2 weeks for a shop manual (my little guy wants to ride now!) How do you adjust the stall speed on a 3 shoe clutch? Rearrange, add/ subtract the numerous spring/washers? It is said it's adjustable but no one seems to know how. It engages fully right off idle. All the kids he rides with don't seem to engage until a little more in the power band.

Step 1) Go to KTMtalk.com register and spend several hours reading about the clutch in the 50.
Step 2) Repeat the reading part of step 1.

There is simply no better source for those little screamers.

A quick lesson on how to raise the stall speed: Increase the number of cupped washers, known as the "stack". Start by cleaning them, and make sure they aren't getting sacked out. If it's engaging right off idle there's a problem. The Sr model should engage at about 7K, the Jr at about 6K, from the factory.
