I'm no expert, but I think this thread has been derailed. :)

I find the camping at Cooperland very good. There's showers, hot food, camp fires and always someone to sit down and have a beer. Lat year having the "no generator after 11pm" rule made it even better.

Then again, all of my camping at DW has been in a 27' motorhome. Microwave, heat, a/c, shower, potty, even TV for the kids.

Ya think?

I camped 02, 03 and 04.

02 - 20x20 awning
03 - 20x40 awning - aka Camp Tejas
04 - 20x40 awning + 16x35 tent and kitchen in one corner - Camp Tejas grew up.
05 - You will need to come see ... Camp Tejas is gearing up to grow again.

Of course, it will be hard to top the fish fry and getting to cook fajitas for Malcolm last year ...

The Spodewash appeared in 02, and got hot water in 03. It was there again in 04 and will be in 05 as well.

I miss the tent slums of Casey! I think that was some of the best camping i've ever done.

You had to love the camping, because you didn't get to do too much riding! :)

Notice my right arm in the above pic...that was right after breaking two ribs on the right side.

The best part of DW is:

Fine dining at Bottega de Natty.

I had lamb pot au fe in a corn flan with mixed greens in a raspberry vinaigrette, followed by sauteed' liver with fava beans and a nice chianti. . .and that was for BREAKFAST.

I've never met anyone else who could turn a pile of dead animals and some cookware into a 5-star meal fit for royalty - while simultaneously spraying for mosquitos. Thanks, Natty!

Primitive camping is the best way to experience DW. The RV arrangement is nice, but a bit spendy.

I'll be tent trash from here on out.

Darn Squeeks, my face is turning red again. In my defense, it was just bad timing (or maybe good timing depending how you look at it), on my part.
