While putting aroung on my 99 KDX200 yesterday, the throttle cable came loose in the carburator. Just fell out of the groove somehow. I had recently replaced the cable and been on two rides with no problems. Would too much slack in the cable cause this. I had it adjusted as shown in the manual. The cable looks like(and is almost) new. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It just sounds like you didn't have the cable in the slide slot and the plastic cap in properly and it worked it self out.

What DJ said. Make sure the plastic retainer is properly positioned. The retainer's tooth should in the same slot as the cable fits into to prevent is from jumping out.
