Tire knob restorers?

EG says in his book there are a few tools out there to cut new life into tires, I've never seen these in any dirtbike store or website.  Anyone have these or know where to get?

I've seen my dad take a razor blade to tires before, he claims it helps, but i think it is the dutch in him coming out.

All you do is cut the front edge of the knob off to make it 90 degrees again, like a 1/16 of a inch can do it.

yeah but then the knobs are weaker and can rip easier so i just buy a new one

I use a 4.5" angle grinder. Fast. Wear safety glasses and be careful.
