Thinking about camping at Webber Lake. Can you access the trails from this camprgound? Any other suggestions on good campgrounds close to the trails in this area? Thanks
You can"t access the trail directly from the campground. The trailhead is about a half mile down Webber Rd. We camped off of Peet Rd over Labor Day. There are several areas around there to camp depending on your needs.
Actually you can acess the trail from Weber. You can legaly ride down the road to the curve in the road where the North trail crosses. That is the county line. If you continue down the road to the staging area that is illegal. But if you catch the trail at that corner it is supposidly legal. In that county its legal to ride certain roads. Past that curve in the road its a diff county. So says 2trackr.
The Circle K AKA camp Swampy. I've stayed there - don't let them put you on the end closest to the river. Looks like a long way away - When I stayed there during a weekend of rain the Sturgin river ended up in my tent!!!
Aside from that it is a decent CG with hookups, flush toilets and washer/dryers.
