Trans Problem?

hey Guys

I got a 2001 suzuki rm125 and somtimes wen i go threw the gears it pops into neutral,but it only does it wen i go outa 4th into 5th i change the trans fluid every 4-5 rides and it still does it somtimes.Anybody know wat the problem is.thanks in advance..

I'd take a look at the dogs on those gears.. probably worn out.

if it is would u hafta replace all the gears or can u just replace the one that is worn?

just the one's that are worn out

Remove the clutch and check that all of the shifting mechanisms are in order. If it is then your issues are inside the trans, time to split the cases. Other than the tools to split the cases, you will need a micrometer and know how to use it.

Before you do that, what type of oil are you running in the tranny? cheap oil will cause this.

My service manual says use 10w40 so iv always used that
