Can anyone tell me how to remove the trip meter drive from the front axle. I took the front wheel off and the only thing I could think of was to replace the little gear drive with a spacer.
With the hub removed you will see the forks( gears if you want) in the hub that mate with the rim causing the cable to rotate.It is held in by a clip. remove the clip ,remove the forked gear and place it back in the hub the oposite way. Re-install the hub and all will be fine...
This work on my '90 KDX anyway.
