TT-R 250 Vs WR-250

I'm not intersested in buying but i went on the yamaha website and the price difference is huge the wr is 6,099 bucks and the tt-r is 4,499 wouldn't it make more sence to buy the
tt-r and put the 1,500 into the tt-r and make it better or is the tt-r that inferiour to the wr i don't know that just what i think but i would like to see what you guys have to say that own or riden both of them thanks

there not even close.......even if you put $3Kinto the ttr.
the wr is (basically) a yz. the tt-r is just a trail/play bike w/ trail susp and a mild motor. the ttr's closest competition is the xr200....read that as beginner bike

i'd guess the ttr peaks at about 15 hp
