What awesome racing today! I love being there in person, and what a show we got! The first 125 moto looked like the typical Bubba easy win, till he wiped out. Then he couldn't pull away from Grant Langston... he held right on. Jesseman was coming through the pack hard too... I think he had the speed to get Bubba, after his crash... too bad he didn't start better

The first 250 moto was pretty tame, K-dub pulled a good start, and then a good lead... RC was not going to catch him, simple as that!

The second 125 moto was pretty good too, the battling for the 2 - 5 spots was awesome, Bubba had the lead locked down. Jesseman wiped out at the start, and charged way through the pack. Again, if he could have got a start... maybe... but probalby not.

The second 250 was awesome... the K-dub and RC show the whole moto. Kevin couldn't get rid of RC, but RC didn't have quite enough to catch him. Also, RC definatly got held up by a couple of lappers that Kevin got past signifigantly faster. Lusk made a great, great charge from all the way back. Ferry and the Cobra had a good battle going as well... lots of good racing all over the track. The facility was good, and the track was awesome. Great racing!

It was great to finally watch a REAL race at Unadilla. Last two years it was nothing but the Ricky show in the 250 class. Kdub was a "man on a mission" during the second moto. Ezra may have been 9th, but Kdub and Ricky lapped him like he was dragging a 200 lb. anchor behind his KX250.

Everybody in the second 250 moto looked like crap compared to RC and Windham. Ferry was a distant third - 32 seconds behind? RC and Windham are on a different planet.

That was a great race. It looked like Bubba's front brake lever was broke or something in the first moto. Slowed him down a bit and then he walked away. Windham was awe inspiring. He had an 18 second lead in the first moto over RC. In the 2nd moto he and RC had over a minute lead on Ferry and DV. They were running their own race a half a lap ahead of everyone else.

I was in the mechanics area during the 2nd 125 race and RC walked out to watch them coming up the big hill and going down and then up the screw you. When Bubba crested the big hill and shredded the berm as he went down the screw you, RC kinda shook his head as if to say, "Damn, he's fast". He has to be a bit nervous.

Windham is so smooth. There is a tabletop right after coming out of the screw you and when he hit it he never left the ground. He roosted all the way across it while everyone else way in the air. Pretty amazing.

The 250 qualifying was pretty good too. Marco Dorsch (on break from the Canadian Nats) led most of his race until RonRon passed him. Dorsch was riding a borrowed ’02 RM250 with no decals or stickers. It still had those warning labels on the back fender. I went to look for him in the pits after the 1st moto to see who this guy was. That’s when he told me he was on a borrowed bike that had RG3 suspension and a Bill’s motor but he said it the motor wasn’t quite what he would have wanted. He was icing his arm due to what sounded like tennis elbow ad didn’t plan on racing the second moto because he didn’t want to get injured before returning to the Can Nats. He ended up 22nd overall without ever starting the 2nd moto.

Paul Carpenter raced too and easily won his qualifier. Kyle Lewis took second so it wasn’t like he had it too easy. Paul is a local guy and he showed up in a pickup truck with two bikes crammed in the back. He wasn’t able to use his regular race bike so he raced his practice bike which I hear is 3 to 4 seconds a lap slower. Too bad he got bad starts in both motos or he would have finished much better. Paul has really improved over the years and doing so well in the 4 stroke Nats has boosted his confidence.

Bobby Kinirey is another local kid that has been doing fairly well. I remember seeing him at a local practice track when he was racing a KX80. He was jumping this huge table top that when I rolled in and thought, holy crap, this kids gonna make me look bad :eek: He is vary talented and took a 12th overall. He was able to hold off Sorby for most of the 2nd moto. There is one jump after Gravity cavity that has a nasty kicker right in the middle. He hit it and nearly went over the bars. I don’t know how he saved it. Even more amazing was that Sorby was right behind him and he never lost the position. I would have pulled off and changed my underwear but he just took it in stride and never slowed down. I wish I was in his shoes but not for his riding ability. He had some nice sauce hanging all over him while he was watching the 1st 250 moto. I was afraid those girls would eat him up and spit him out, not that that a bad thing ;)

I also saw Fonseca go down in the first moto. He slide out in the turn after Gravity Cavity and was catching his breath and Roy came around and center punched him as he lay on the ground. It wasn’t pretty. He got off the track OK and even rode part of the rest of the moto. He ended up taking a 12th in the 2nd moto.

And last but not least I have to say the eye candy was phenomenal, as usual. :)

I see a win for KW at washougal this weekend, i thought that washougal would be the end of the streak now it is going to be the second race of kw streak.

The real KW has finally showed, now i just hope he stays for a while.

It would make my month if k-dub can win at shugal this week. Who knows, maybe Ferry will get ahead of the little guy also.
