Hey I'm looking into buying a V-Force 3 Reed Valve system for my 2005 Yamaha YZ 125. Has any body have any experience with this product? Will I need to make changes to the carburetor? Is there a better reed system on the market?

Any info is appreciated.

I have the V-Force on my '01 250 and it seems to let the bike rev more freely. I think it also leaned the bike out since it was a tad rich with the stock reed block and now it seems to be spot on. They feel like they smoothed the power out a bit.

Go for it the V-3 is excellent. You may have to richen your air screw about a 1/2 a turn in, depending on where you have it set now. The V-3's tend to lean or clean up the bottom jetting just a tad. On the dyno it added 1 full HP over stock.

Just the 05/06 YZ 125. its very rare to get a gain these days with just a reed valve like that. But Yamaha left some room for improvement. Don't expect more than crisper throttle response and longer rev on your YZ 250. No big HP gains to be had there.

The RM and the YZ acted the same with the V-3. Better throttle response, a slightly smoother hit, and a touch more over rev.
