Hey guys about a week ago i posted a tread about my clutch being stuck on a 2002 cr125.. i bought a new vortex clutch basket, that has that black hard coat on it.. and when i went to put the clutch plates in, they seemed kinda tight.. is this normal? do i need to go in with a file and give a little clearance? Also i need to transfer the large gear and small gear off of the old basket and put it onto the new one... it seems like it's pressed in.. any tricks of the trade anybody could lend me some idea with.. Thanks!!

The hard black coating is anodizing, you don't want to file into that. If you file anything, it should be the frictions. But, if they fit and don't bind, tight is good because it will help prevent the notching from happening again.
