Out of curiosity, have you ever sat down and made a list of the bikes you have owned? Just going through mine makes me realize what a bike geek I have been all my life.
And while I'm at it, here is a list of other's bikes ridden long enough to remember... (Years approximate on some. Scooters and minis excluded.) *=raced
well...my first bike was an 84 YZ80 and now i have a 96/97 YZ125. hopefully getting an 01 or 02 YZ250F in the next couple months...ive only been riding for 4 years and with no funding from the parents its hard to keep up with the latest technology. oh well, you know how the saying goes: 80% rider 20% bike...
first bike was a 1976 Yamaha 125 MX, then I was hooked,
81 YZ250
81 IT250
83 YZ490
84 & 85 XR 350's (the bad years)
84 KTM 250 MXC
84 RM 250
88 YZ 250
91 KDX 200
92 KX 250
2001 YZ250F ( sold becuase of broken leg/ankle)
95 KDX 200
That's a pretty awesome list. I'd like to know your age, and how long you've been riding.
I'll be 27 shortly, and have now been riding for 8 years.
I still have every bike I bought. My signature has the list. The RZ was first, and then I bought a second one for parts. The RR I've had for 4 years, and I finally got my first dirtbike this Spring. I want a cruiser yet, and a BMW 1150GS.
1978 honda 50 ( had 3 gears!!)
1973 YZ 80 (great bike)
1986 DR 100 (when it ran, it was nice)

1993 XR 100 (great bike)

Id say with my past bikes, if there over 10 years old dont get them.
I don't know how y'all remember all that stuff! My first bike was some kind of Enduro 175 maybe early 70's, can't even remember what brand. Ever since I've been coming to this site I've been trying to remember what I ever did with that bike and I can't figure it out:think
2nd. 78 Yamaha 600 street bike
3rd 89? Yamaha XT 600
4th 84? Nighthawk 700S street bike
5th 91 KX125
6th 98 KX250 still have
and the kids stuff.....
1976? Yamaha YZ 80 (ridden once, quit, took back got new one)
1977? Yamaha YZ 80 (bought new,Sold as salvage)
1980 Suzuki TS 125 (bought new, traded for $100 pair of boots after fire damage)
1983 IT 175 (Bought from dealer almost new, sold for almost as much as I paid for it 7 years later)
1994 Kawasaki KDX 200, (Bought almost new sold 2 yrs later)
1996 Suzuki RMX 250 (buy of a lifetime)
2000 Gas Gas EC 250 (Bought Almost new)
Here's a tip! Try to keep the front number plate off of every bike you own. Hang them on the wall. In thirty years they will be a treasure!
I have the plate off of the Greeves, the Maico, the Super Rat, the Bultaco, the Penton, and a bunch of Jap stuff.
Priceless!!
1976 Huffy from Toys R Us. Hey, it was Honda red with a rear shock :) , but I got robbed by a few older kids, little *******s wanted to wack me over the head with a wrench. So, I hounded my dad and he got me my first real bike a year or so later, a YZ80. Now I'm an old fart (35) with a 01 CR250, and about 20 bikes in between.
Sleds
1981 Yamaha sno-scoot,
1995 Yamaha Phazer
1996 Yamaha Phaer
1996 Artic Cat, Kitty kat
1997 Yamaha V-max 600sx
can't remember the years, but still own a 250 and 300 sled, and some old gp433. (I've got a bunch of 121" 'take-off' tracks if anybodies interested.)
This was a good exercise. I think I'm short about 5 ATV and a few street bikes... I gotta start writing this down before I get to old.
1982 Honda MB5 (only one I wish I still had)
1974 Yamaha DT125
1988 Honda XR200R
1984 Honda XR500R
1999 Honda XR600R
2001 Honda XR650R
Those are the bikes I had. Other bikes that have been owned by somebody else in my household include numerous Honda Trail 90's, 70's, Honda CL350, CL175, CL125, '78 Kawasaki KE125, Suzuki TM185 (not sure what year, probably mid-70's); and my dad's current ride, a '97 XR200.

1980 CR125 Sweet Bike
1981 RM125 Awesome motor and Suspension
