Hey guys, I recently purchased a 98 cr125 with an FMF pipe..for the most part it's totally stock. At first start up for the day it has some trouble when i kick it ( i have to kick it hard ) but after running .. it will start on the first easy kick. I'm thinking it needs a rebuild? How should I go about doing this. I have been searching but not sure what kit to get.. Will I notice a difference in power after the rebuild? Should I get a kit that ups the compression a little? What all should be done. I'm still searching.. I guess I'll need carbon fiber reeds.. Not sure what else. But I'm basically trying to get the bike to a very good running condition. Btw I got the bike for 1200 is that good? It runs its ass off no problems what so ever besides the plastics are alittle rough.

I don't think you need to do the bottom end. Just get a Wiseco Piston and neccessary etc.

Try here, great prices and cheap/free shipping

I would have to agree with the above. Just do the top end. $1200.00 sounds like a good deal. Im a little partial to Honda. I love anything red, but have got to admit that the pumpkins are starting to look real good. Might have to try one.

I am super partial to the pumpkins (KTM). I had one when I was 15 and had to sell it to get a car and told myself that one day I will be back on one. I am planning on getting the 07 450SX as soon as possible. I am in love with that bike. It is just incredible. Looks, parts, etc. it is like a works bike.

Anyway I like my CR250, I got a smoking deal on it. $380 and it only needed cylinder repair and a piston came with mods and black plastics.
Guy needed money for his jeep engine.
