What's it worth? Need advice please.

Hi everyone, I was looking to buy an '03 kdx 200 from a local dealer. Its completely stock except for Renthal bars. It has no visible damage, only boot rub marks and a nickle-sized ding in the pipe. They tell me that the previous owner was older and traded the bike for a DR650, but could not say how many hours were on the bike. The sprockets look like new and it has (I think) original dunlop tires with about 50% rear and 75% front tread. The dealer wants $2699 for the bike. Is this a fair price? Should I ask for some extras thrown in? The bike has been for sale for about 2 months, so I may have some leverage. I only have about $2500 to spend and I would like to get some gear, service manual etc. Any advice greatly appreciated!

prices vary depending on what part of the country you are in. in the northeast they would probably get that price for a clean bike. you really do need a manual and a pipe/silencer for the bike imo. try 2400.00 . the worst they can say is no.

In N.E.$ 2700 for an '03 with very little use {original tires?} would be a fair price. Make a lower offer and see if they accept, or if they hold out, see what they might throw in, manual etc. Good luck, you will love the bike. Jim G.
