Whats the diff between a R304 and R304 shorty?

The shorty should give a bit more bottom end

well i have my bike set up for mid-top
So i want to add to that sort of power
Which would be best?

You will still get top end with the shorty, the hit will be more abrupt. The longer silencer compliments the mid to top power better than the shorty. If you want smooth go long, if you want a hard hit go with the shorty.

so the shorty is the same as the long one just has a harder hit at the bottom? Does it have the same improvements to the top end as the regular R304?

I have got both and cannot tell a hill of beans difference in them on my YZ125
