I noticed my rear wheel seem to have too much play, so I decided to check the bearings. After about an hour of developing tools to pound the axle out I got to the bearings. My bike is a 1998 so I was shocked to see all the rust. I replaced the bearings and polished the axle and am back in action.

Just thought I'd let y'all know that a few minutes of cleanup once a year would have made this chore unnecessary. I will be checking the front wheel bearings next.

Yeah, dirtbikes huh? Just (redid) my KDX a few days ago, hohum.

Course you should be riding it enough that you have to change the tires & the axle wouldn’t weld itself in there. :moon:
