Johhny O' factor...

Dont' just think about the rider. Think about his inner circle of influence. Since Carmichael was 15 he has been staying at Johnny O's place in CA. They are best friends. Johnny has tremendous influence over Ricky. Honda reportedly talked to Johnny FIRST about the deal. Interesting also, was it may have been a package deal. Johnny O' recently quit his job at Oakley and is now working for...Honda. Coincidence? RC must have been quite content at Kawasaki or he would have left a LONG time ago. Bottom line is Honda loves you until you get hurt. Then they bag you. Just ask Doug Henry, Ezra Lusk, Ryan Hughes, Steve Lamson, Donnie Hansen, David Bailey, etc... They are interested in everyone (it's their job) who's hot. Then all of a sudden, they're not. It's a fact, get over it. Let's just hope the bike doesn't bite RC in the ass at speed. Godspeed fellas!

Most people who get hurt alot usually don't stay around very long no matter who they race for. Jeff Stanton is still there and on the road racing side Miguel Duhamel hasn't exactly been on fire but he also is still with them.

When a riders contract is up, it's up. Honda and the rest are out there to make money period. That is what buisness is all about. Anything less is government work.

Ricky made a decision and there is nothing anyone can do about it. There are very few brand loyal riders out there besides Dick Burleson and Jeff Ward. Even Roger DeCoster has switched brands since he retired.

If you are being paid to represent a brand then you better do it. I was given a Trek ride to race BMX a few years back. I hated the bike's handling and ride. I still rode it, never ragged on it and let anyone who asked ride it. After two years I quietly passed it on to another upcomer and went back to my trusty ride. Every brand has a "feel" andRicky has stated he feels faster on the Honda. I felt the same way between the Trek and my Diamond Back Reactor. When my time was up I went back to the DBR.

Ricky was never one of my favorites and neither is McGrath but those guyds can ride and I won't take that away fron them.

LaRocco is the most consistant and my favorite and he is also lacking in the congeniality department.

mopowa to ya, I can't handle all that powa, that's why I ride a foo-foo bike.

As long as there are people making it, there will be people trying to bring them down.

We are competitors (at least some of us) the pro's are businessmen enjoying their profession. Money is security. I don't blame him one bit. They'll get over it, maybe.

Better go check my mascara, I think its running...

since you're obviously mentally challenged and haven't figured out what the flame board is, I'll lay it you so you can grasp the concept ( maby, but I doubt it). It's a forum where people gripe about stuff, people, etc. And trust me, with statements like that, you'll end up here often- moron-

Ricky is good... excellent in fact. He is paid to race and he does it well. I got to see an SX "up and comer" ride on the same track as I do. It really puts it all into prospective. We (the average mortals) are slugs in comparison. These guys are lightning quick and paid for their performance. Having good camera manners is gravy for the sponsors. It's all about performance for all of us. It's why we change jobs, get raises, and promotions.

mopowa... where to begin? How to win friends and enfluence enemies might be a good start.

As good as Ricky is, I'm still a LaRocco fan!
