Xr 200 Engine & Suspension mods

Hi guys,
I am windering if any of you have put xr 250 forks and the rear shock with the swing arm on an xr 200? also I was wondering if any of you know of any good engine mods that can be done to one. I am lookking for a fun little project bike to work on and though the 200 would be cool. Also I was wondering what would be a good year to look for. I want to buy another one. The one we have now is my moms :silly:

Go for one with the longer travel suspension, these ones are a definite improvement. I think it's from 1981 to 1991 or something like that. With special bearings and a couple of spacers a KX125 front end will bolt on, but I think this is only on the older models with longer suspension, otherwise I think the geometry will be messed up. Thumper racing offers some suspension mods but they are PRICY. Powroll is a good place to go for engine mods.
