Hey, guys.

I had a pretty decent year and won/placed high enough to qualify for some contingency bucks. Since this was really my first year racing, I'm not familiar with the timeline of the payouts. My Dealer indicated that they usually send out one check at the end of the season. Is this how it's usually done? I did send in the contingency application last spring when I took delivery of my 2001 YZ250. Is that all I needed to do? Anyone ever have to contact a manufacturer for failure to payout?

Really could use those Yama-Bucks to fund some of the winter work to be done on the bike.

Thanks for the info.

I usually got my contingency about a month or so after the race. It will depend on how fast the race promoter gets the info to Yamaha too. I'm pretty sure that they must be spent by the end of the year. I earned $$ at 4 races, two checks came individually and another had two races on it. So it varies. You can call Yamaha Motors corp directly and ask for the racing/contingency dept to check on the status. I'm not sure of the number, but if you call 1-800-88-YAMAHA they can give you the number. good luck......
