Remembered a few more...

- Rode about 100 miles of single track with Jeff Smith, 1964-65 500cc world motocross champion. The guy is 68, rides a 10 year old Honda XR 400, and is still wicked fast through the tight stuff. I was impressed and humbled.

- I was near Times Square NYC in the Broadway section taking a break from a conference I was at. Suddenly Rachel Welch walked out of a door onto the street about 10 feet from me. A crowd came out with her, and she stood there and signed autographs for about 10 minutes. This was about 5 years ago. I'm not sure how old she is now, but I tell you what - she was smokin' hot, very classy, and sexy. Talk about a MILF...

- I was with the wife in Venice, Italy about 5 years ago. We were in the famous St. Mark's Square (with the skinny tower and all the birds). There was a movie production set, and based on the costumes, they were filming something set in the 1940s, We watched for a little bit, then my wife had to go to the bathroom. We walked out of the square out towards the water. While waiting for my wife, a small group of people from the movie set started walking towards me in somewhat of a hurry. They had just finished filming, and were still in their costumes. As they walked by, I noticed it was Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Damon. They were whisked past me, jumped in one of those cool wooden power boats in Venice, and took off. The wife then came out of the bathroom, and asked what all the excitement was about. She was bummed she missed it! About a year or so later I came to find out they were filming "The Incredible Mr. Ripley". For the several hours they probably spent filming, it ended up being about 2 minutes in the final film.

- I was on the Bozo show when I was 5. I had to race around an obstacle course with a spoon in my mouth balancing an egg all while being badgered by an obnoxious clown and a crowd of unrelenting 5-6 year olds. I still fear clowns.

Years ago I ran a printing press at a check printing plant. I used to like to collect fun names or names of famous people.
My favorite was when Ricky Johnsons' checks came through. He had the now famous 'Bad Boy' logo imprinted on them!

Okay, here's a few:

1. I went to high school with a girl name Angelique Bernard. Her older sister is Crystal Bernard from that show "Wings" Got to me her once.

2. Sat next to Trevor Vines and another FMXer on an airplane last year.

3. Sat one row behind Keifer Sutherland on an airplane a few years ago.

4. Was on the same airplane with Danny Glover last year.

5. Sat and talked college football with former OSU coach John Cooper on an airplane.

6. Ran straight into Dave Rief (host of Motoworld) coming out of the Crown room in the Atlanta airport

So, as you can see, I fly a lot!

7. Stood next to Ty Davis at the rider's meeting at the LA national a few years ago.

8. Same national, a guy from my club, parked Steve Hatch (defending National enduro champ at the time) into the trees just off the start and right in front of the Motoworld cameras.

9. Used slow motion to pick myself out of a mass of riders on Motoworld. Event was Lorretta Lynn's Mid-south Hare Scramble.

10. When I was working in video production, we shot a commercial with Joe Theisman. Wow, he's small for a former NFL quarterback.

11. When I worked at the local Newstalk radio station, I got to meet all of the guests that came in for talk shows. The two that stand out in my mind are: George Forman, and Charlton Heston.

12. Most important: I drank beer with Big Lou AND SFC Crash in the same night!! Too bad I don't remember much else about it. :yeehaw:

I went ot an ARCA race in MAy 2001 at the Kentucky Speedway, got the ticket and hopitality passes from a buisness associate, the race was cool but we missed the pit tour.....that sucked but as it turned out we were one of only a few left at the hospitality tent when Micheal Waltrip and Sterlin Matlin came through to hang out and sign autographs, got to talk to them, get autographs and a few good pics, pretty cool. Ernie Irvin was suppose to be there, but we didn't get to see him.

A buddy of mine knocked out Owen Nolan in a bar in Thorold. Next day on TV he had a shiner. It was witnessed by about 5 people. My buddy's about 6'10, 300lbs, why Nolan was trying to be badass was beyond me...

:EDIT: Nolan Ryan? LOL, what the hell was I thinking when I type that...

In my 12 years working as a Maytag repair man, I have been to the houses of Eddie Murphy, Mike Tyson, Mrs. Schafer(owner of Schafer beer), a few different players for the NY Giants, and probably a few others I can't think of or didn't know who they were

My Junior High gym teacher was retired from the Green Bay Packers

But it sounds like the highlight will be DW when I get to meet BigLou :worship:

I met the fathers of Ricky Carmichael and Tim Ferry and was almost run over by Stephane Roncada in the pits at Red Bud.

I met Jim Breuer (Saturday Night Live), shook his hand and got his autograph after a stand-up show...FUNNY GUY!

I met Mike Lafferty and worked a road crossing at an enduro that he rode in.

A couple of my friends met Steve Yzerman (Detroit Red Wings) at the Detroit airport last year.

I have various autographs (mostly gotten in person) of former Detroit Tigers players, including some Hall of Famers and players from the World Series winning teams of 1968 and 1984.

Madonna was born in my home town.

...seems like there were more, I think I might be too tired to remember...

FJ,

Really? I didn't know that. Did you ever see her at the race track?

Now that I think about it, I seem to recall seeing her on the Tv Coverage of the Daytona 200 a long time ago.
