Remembered a few more...
- Rode about 100 miles of single track with Jeff Smith, 1964-65 500cc world motocross champion. The guy is 68, rides a 10 year old Honda XR 400, and is still wicked fast through the tight stuff. I was impressed and humbled.
- I was near Times Square NYC in the Broadway section taking a break from a conference I was at. Suddenly Rachel Welch walked out of a door onto the street about 10 feet from me. A crowd came out with her, and she stood there and signed autographs for about 10 minutes. This was about 5 years ago. I'm not sure how old she is now, but I tell you what - she was smokin' hot, very classy, and sexy. Talk about a MILF...
- I was with the wife in Venice, Italy about 5 years ago. We were in the famous St. Mark's Square (with the skinny tower and all the birds). There was a movie production set, and based on the costumes, they were filming something set in the 1940s, We watched for a little bit, then my wife had to go to the bathroom. We walked out of the square out towards the water. While waiting for my wife, a small group of people from the movie set started walking towards me in somewhat of a hurry. They had just finished filming, and were still in their costumes. As they walked by, I noticed it was Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Damon. They were whisked past me, jumped in one of those cool wooden power boats in Venice, and took off. The wife then came out of the bathroom, and asked what all the excitement was about. She was bummed she missed it! About a year or so later I came to find out they were filming "The Incredible Mr. Ripley". For the several hours they probably spent filming, it ended up being about 2 minutes in the final film.
- I was on the Bozo show when I was 5. I had to race around an obstacle course with a spoon in my mouth balancing an egg all while being badgered by an obnoxious clown and a crowd of unrelenting 5-6 year olds. I still fear clowns.
