I bought a Keihin that came from CPW, it has totally changed the bike. My 01 I could fix w/ cutting the slide, the 02 defied fixing so it got a Keihin. The bike has low-end now and no fluttering idle, it will start now plus it runs clean from low end up. I'm not sure which fit issues you had on yours, but the
Keihin fit fine, no tighter than trying to wrestle around w/ the Mikuni...well the float boal clears a little better. Size constraints may be why Honda went w/ the Mikuni...I'd rather deal w/ the PWK fitting snug than that Mikuni fogger

Honda took a step backwards when they ditched the Keihin PWK in favor of the Mikuni. In my experience, the PWK offers more tolerance of changing ambient conditions without a need to re-jet. And it seems to provide a cleaner state of tune regardless.
